Our group is made up of people from areas in and around Bailieborough and further afield who enjoy the outdoors. Between April and late September we organise walks within Cavan and to adjoining counties.

We have Easy/Moderate suitable for individuals or families and Advanced walking routes for the more dedicated walker.
A small fee of €2 is charged to help cover costs.

Good Walking Shoes are essential for the easy/moderate walks. Walking Boots are essential for the longer Advanced/Hill walks. Walking trousers or shorts suitable for the weather conditions. Waterproof trousers in wet weather, and are also a great barrier in cold windy weather. Waterproof/breathable jacket. Hat and gloves.

For long Advanced walks it is advisable to bring a change of clothes so that you can change out of wet and/or muddy clothes at the end of a walk.

While a First Aid kit will be available to the group, all walkers should try to have a small first aid kit with them. Water is essential on all walks. In summer, sun screen/insect repellent is necessary.
As the dark evenings start in, a torch/headtorch is essential. A light rucksack to carry it all!
